1. Muskoka Lake Association. Is by far one of your most important resources. It provides local news and updates on a wide variety of topics including political, social, and community events. Most lakes have very active residents who have formed associations of their own. Try googling the Association associated with the lake that is near or on the lake property you are considering. Muskokans can be verfriendly and will give you additional info in real-time.

3. Lake Stats and Information. Muskoka has over 680 lakes (greater than eight hectares in size). The Muskoka Water Web site was developed by The District Municipality of Muskoka to provide a portal to information about Muskoka's most cherished resource - water. This is an excellent resource for finding out more about your lake, the water and species that live in our waters. Go to:

4.. Maps of Muskoka. It‘s always a challenge to find your way around the vast areas of Muskoka

despite great navigation systems and google maps. Sometimes an old fashioned map can help. Most tourist information offices can provide one.

5.. Muskoka Chamber of CommercePromotes and supports the businesses in the Muskoka community.

6.. Muskoka Tourism Tourism offices will provide you with information about local events, what to do, where to eat or stay.
